PM Surya Ghar Scheme FAQs
Is the PM Surya Ghar subsidy deducted upfront from my invoice?
No. Under the official PM Surya Ghar guidelines, the subsidy is paid as a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into your linked bank account from the central government within 30 days of net-meter commissioning.
Can I claim the subsidy if the electricity meter is in my landlord's name?
No. The electricity bill, bank account, and Aadhaar card must belong to the same person. If you own the property, you can apply for a name transfer with JBVNL before registering on the National Portal.
What happens if my sanctioned load is lower than my desired solar capacity?
Your rooftop solar capacity cannot exceed your sanctioned load with JBVNL. JDC Solar assists you in submitting a load enhancement application to JBVNL alongside your solar application.
